Limn is run by Adrian Gonzalez Mujica, an individual based in the State of Florida, United States. This policy explains what Limn collects, why, and the choices you have. The short version: Limn collects little, sells nothing, and does not track you across other sites.
What we collect
Account information.When you sign in, we store your email address and, if you set one, a username. We sign you in with a six-digit code sent to your email — we never store a password.
Your finds. When you log a Pane, we store which Pane you found and when. This is what powers your progress and your finder history.
Feedback. If you send feedback, we store the message you submit.
Technical data.Like most online services, our infrastructure providers automatically log technical information when you use Limn — your IP address, browser and device type, and the time of your requests. This keeps the service running, secure, and protected from abuse, such as limiting how often sign-in codes can be requested.
Usage analytics.We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to understand how Limn is used in aggregate — how many people scan a Pane, which Panes are found, what kinds of devices are used, and whether visitors return over time. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. We do not use tracking cookies, and we do not follow you across other websites.
Location.We do not currently collect your location. If we add location features later — for example, to confirm you were near a Pane — we will update this policy and ask your permission on your device before accessing location data.
How we use it
- to sign you in and send sign-in codes;
- to show your progress, finds, and profile within Limn;
- to run, secure, and improve the service;
- to understand, in aggregate, how Limn is used so we can make it better.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Service providers
A few third parties help run Limn: Supabase (sign-in and database), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email delivery), and Porkbun (domain and email forwarding). They process data on our behalf under their own terms. Our providers are located in the United States, so by using Limn you understand your data is processed there.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. You can ask us to delete your account and its associated data at any time by emailing legal@limn.quest. We may keep feedback messages, in a form that no longer identifies you, to help improve Limn.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct, or delete your personal data by emailing legal@limn.quest. We do not send marketing email; the only email Limn sends is the sign-in code you request and occasional messages about the service itself.
Children
Limn is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. Because Limn sends people to real-world places, it is meant for users old enough to travel and judge their surroundings safely. If you are a minor, only seek out Panes with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your data, but no online service can promise perfect security. Because you sign in with a code sent to your email, keeping access to your email account secure is an important part of keeping your Limn account secure.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will revise the “last updated” date above, and significant changes will be made clear within Limn.
